About
I shoot the room, not just the plate. From the first pour of light through a window to the last table turn of the night, I document restaurants the way chefs and owners actually experience them — texture, steam, motion, the choreography of service. Based in Boston, working with kitchens and dining rooms that want their food and atmosphere to look as good on screen as it does on the table.
A good restaurant photo has to work on two levels — it has to make you hungry, and it has to feel like the room. I spend as much time watching how light moves through a dining room over service as I do styling a plate, because that's what actually separates a stock-photo shot from one that looks like your restaurant.
I work fast and quiet. Kitchens are already loud enough without a photographer getting in the way of service — my goal is to get in, capture what the space and the food actually look like, and get out before anyone notices I was there.
